About

Santal 33 built a cult around one strange, brilliant idea: cardamom and violet-tinged iris laid over smoky, leathery sandalwood, worn by everyone from downtown creatives to off-duty models. Dupe 33 chases that silhouette rather than the exact chemistry. The opening keeps the spiced cardamom present and turns up the sweetness with a vanilla note the original barely hints at, giving it an easier, more conventional charm from the first spray. Where Santal 33 develops a dry, almost pickle-tart leather-and-iris heart that some wearers love and others can't stand, this version rounds those edges into a softer, woodier blend. The base still nods to sandalwood and amber, but with less of the original's smoky depth, and it settles into skin scent noticeably sooner. A fair everyday stand-in, not a smell-alike.
