Azure Depth

Azure Depth opens exactly where Bleu de Chanel does: a burst of grapefruit and lemon sharpened by mint, with a whisper of pink pepper keeping the citrus from turning too sweet. That freshness carries into the heart, where ginger and nutmeg add a spicy warmth and a touch of jasmine softens the edges. Where the two fragrances part ways is the drydown. Bleu de Chanel's cedar-and-incense base builds slowly into something smoky and resinous; Azure Depth's sandalwood, cedar and white musk arrive faster and sit flatter, with less of that smouldering depth. The trade-off suits daytime wear well: the citrus-mint opening reads loud and clean for the first couple of hours, then settles into a light, woody musk that won't overstay its welcome in an office. Anyone chasing the original's slow-burning sophistication for a big night out will notice the shortfall, but for routine wear this captures enough of the shape to be recognisable.
