Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Also Works:
Spring Summer

The few wearers who voted lean slightly towards spring and summer, and one says it would suit summer. Treat it as a light preference.

Best Occasions

Also Works:
Office Casual

The perfumer says she wears it while working, and one wearer finds the dry-down comforting. Casual and office wear score highest, with cautious numbers because no one describes occasions in detail.

About

Life of the Party is a 2020 Eau de Parfum from Early Modern, the Glasgow house, composed by Clara Weale. The brand describes it in terms of anticipation and energy, and the materials it lists are jasmine sambac, orange flower, cardamom and sandalwood. It gives no top, heart and base pyramid, so the notes are shown together. Lemon and amber also appear in other records of the scent. The perfumer's own account of it is lively and transparent, with leafy, orange-flower and citrus facets, jasmine, a creamy floral feel, a little cardamom and sandalwood that persists. A wearer who has written about it agrees on the shape: a citrus-led opening that becomes comforting and sandalwood-focused, with a powdery impression and little cardamom. The few who have voted are positive. Nine rate it favourably, and the votes on how long it lasts and how far it carries are moderate, so it should not be expected to fill a room or last all day. The perfumer says she wears it while working, which fits the light, easy character. Life of the Party suits wearers who want a bright floral and sandalwood scent that stays soft. It is a good candidate for a sample, since the evidence about wear time is thin.
