No.159 is Eden's version of Hermès H24, one of the freshest, most modern men's fragrances of recent years thanks to its stripped-back structure. It leans on clary sage up top for a herbaceous, faintly metallic freshness, brings in oakmoss for a touch of green depth, and closes on sclarene, the synthetic base note that gives the original its clean, almost aquatic-technical finish. Because H24 itself is built around a minimalist, mostly single-accord idea rather than a complex, many-layered pyramid, this dupe's inherent simplification matters less than on a more elaborate original - the clary sage opening captures the fresh, zingy character well. Where it falls short is staying power: the sclarene base fades to a faint skin scent well before the original's signature lasts, so it reads as a strong first-hour scent that needs reapplication for an all-day effect.
