Eden's No.148 is inspired by YSL's La Nuit de L'Homme, the men's aromatic-spicy fragrance whose cardamom-forward opening has become one of the most recognisable in modern menswear scent. The dupe leads with that same cardamom spike before moving into a bergamot, cedar and lavender heart, finishing on vetiver and caraway - a close mirror of the original's suave, understated structure. Reviewers of the genuine YSL note that current formulations run inconsistently on longevity, with some getting only a couple of hours and others reporting seven to eight, so Eden's typically shorter wear time doesn't represent as large a gap against today's La Nuit de L'Homme as it might against the original's classic-era reputation.
