No.424 takes its cue from Boss Ma Vie Pour Femme, a fragrance that stood out on release for its unusual cactus flower opening note. It leads with that same bright, slightly green cactus accord before moving into a delicate floral heart of pink freesia, jasmine and rose, a combination that reads as fresh and cheerful rather than heavy or sweet. The base is kept simple with a single cedar note, giving the fragrance a soft, powdery-woody finish rather than a bold, lingering one. This mirrors the original fairly closely: Ma Vie has long been known among fans for its pretty, uplifting floral-woody character but also for underperforming its EDP concentration, wearing and projecting closer to an EDT with only a few hours of noticeable presence.
