Ellis Brooklyn Raven is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2016, created by Jérôme Epinette. Raven opens with Rhubarb and Mandarin, settles into a heart of Peony and Pink Lotus, and dries down to a base of White Woods, Musk, and Patchouli. Ellis Brooklyn's Raven carries a Statement verdict, a green-led wear.

Divisive and bold, Raven is either a mysterious, comforting patchouli dream or a jarring, dusty mess. Definitely a 'try before you buy' as it's a real shapeshifter on skin, but if it works for you, it's a confident, dark statement.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter

A cold-weather scent - best worn in autumn and winter.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date
Also Works:
Casual Formal

With moderate longevity and sillage, Raven is best suited for evening wear, particularly dates where its dark and sexy vibe can shine. Its intensity, especially the prominent patchouli, makes it less ideal for office or sport, though it can work for casual or formal events if applied lightly.

About

Raven opens with a sharp, almost boozy burst of rhubarb, quickly settling into a prominent, earthy patchouli heart. Floral notes of peony and pink lotus weave through, adding a touch of dark sweetness that some find comforting and others perceive as 'old-fashioned' or 'musty.' The dry down softens to a musky, woody base, retaining a complex, sometimes challenging character.
