FAKOSHIMA Contre Culture is an Eau de Toilette launched in 2025, created by Yaroslav Simonov and Konstantin Shilyaev. Contre Culture opens with Citron, Smoke, Pimiento, and Mineral, settles into a heart of Leather, Rose, Pomegranate, and Hyraceum, and dries down to a base of Gunpowder, Sandalwood, Guaiac Wood, and Iris. FAKOSHIMA's Contre Culture carries a Statement verdict, a woody-led wear.

A boldly individual scent for those who march to their own beat. It's a challenging, fascinating wear that demands attention and probably suits a confident, edgy type. Definitely not a blind buy, this one.

About

Contre Culture opens with a surprisingly sharp, almost metallic citron, soon joined by a bracing, smoky pepper and a distinct mineral edge. As it settles, a rich, dark rose emerges, entwined with a rugged leather and the animalic growl of hyraceum, given a fruity hint by pomegranate. The dry-down is utterly unique, with an explosive gunpowder accord fusing with warm guaiac wood and smooth sandalwood, topped off by a powdery iris that adds unexpected sophistication.
