Tour de Havana

Fragrance World Tour de Havana is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2021. Tour de Havana opens with Orange and Grapefruit, settles into a heart of Pepper and Flint, and dries down to a base of Vetiver, Cedar, Patchouli, and Benzoin. Fragrance World's Tour de Havana carries an Acquired verdict, a citrus-led wear.

A close budget tribute to Terre d'Hermes, mirroring the orange-grapefruit-pepper-vetiver structure verbatim with a slightly louder grapefruit opening and a marginally sweeter benzoin-cedar dry-down.

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer Fall
Also Works:
Winter

The citrus-mineral-woody composition reads brightest in spring and summer where the orange-grapefruit-vetiver structure stays vibrant; the cedar-benzoin base carries into autumn comfortably but loses presence in winter cold.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Office Date Casual Formal
Also Works:
Sport

Citrus-vetiver structure is the textbook polished office and daytime casual choice; the woody-aromatic spine adds enough character for date wear and the moderate projection keeps it conservative for smart-formal settings.

About

Tour de Havana is Fragrance World's interpretation of Hermes Terre d'Hermes, the 2006 Jean-Claude Ellena composition that won the FiFi Award and reset the bar for woody-spicy modern masculine perfumery. The opening is orange and grapefruit, the same bittersweet citrus duo the original carries, with grapefruit projecting a fraction louder in the dupe. The heart shifts to pepper and flint, the mineral-spicy combination that gives Terre d'Hermes its distinctive earthy bite. Pepper here reads a touch warmer than the original's restrained black-pepper-and-pelargonium register; flint adds the cool mineral signature without going sharp. On skin the transition takes about an hour, with the citrus slowly stepping back as the pepper-vetiver heart blooms. The base mirrors the original's vetiver-cedar-patchouli-benzoin structure verbatim. Vetiver is the dominant base note, with cedar adding dry woody weight, patchouli the earthy depth, and benzoin a soft resinous warmth that the original carries as well. The Fragrance World version reads a fraction sweeter in the late hours, with the benzoin pushing forward more than the Hermes original allows. Wear holds for six to nine hours with moderate-to-good projection, in line with the original's wear behaviour. In the dupe-house landscape it sits next to Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa and Alhambra Toro pour Homme as a Terre d'Hermes budget option, with Tour de Havana being the cleanest direct interpretation of the Hermes DNA available at the price.
