Histoires de Parfums Rosam is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2011, created by Gérald Ghislain. Rosam opens with Citrus and Rose, settles into a heart of Taif Rose, Saffron, and Incense, and dries down to a base of Amber, Sandalwood, Oud, and Patchouli. Histoires de Parfums's Rosam carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

Divisive yet captivating, Rosam is a beast of a rose-oud that's either a beautiful beast or a petrol-soaked headache. It's not reinventing the wheel, but it does the classic combo with serious power.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter
Also Works:
Spring

A cold-weather scent - best worn in autumn and winter.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Formal

With strong longevity and sillage, Rosam is too potent for most office environments, but its rich, dark character makes it excellent for dates and evening formal events. Its intensity means it's less suited for casual daytime wear or sport.

About

Rosam opens with a powerful, almost metallic dark rose, swiftly joined by a prominent, almost industrial oud. Saffron adds a spicy, slightly bitter edge in the heart, while a smoky incense weaves through. The drydown smooths things out with warm amber, creamy sandalwood, and earthy patchouli, but the core rose and oud remain intensely present throughout.
