IKON 511 is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2020. 511 opens with Carrot Seeds, Cardamom, and Elemi, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Orris, and Lily Of The Valley, and dries down to a base of Cypriol Oil Or Nagarmotha, Musk, Amber, and Sandalwood. IKON's 511 carries a Favourite verdict, a powdery-led wear.

The quietest and strangest of the six IKONs: a powdery iris and carrot-seed opening over creamy Australian sandalwood. Genuinely characterful for the money, though it sits close to the skin.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Fall Winter

Powdery orris, dry cypriol and creamy sandalwood are cool-weather materials that read velvety in autumn and early spring. The carrot-seed brightness stops it turning heavy, but there is no citrus lift to carry it through real summer heat.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Office Casual
Also Works:
Date Formal

Low projection and a soft powdery-woody signature make it an easy office and everyday choice that will not crowd a shared room. It is too restrained to carry a formal evening on its own.

About

511 is the outlier in IKON's six-strong line, and the one that most justifies the range's premium framing. It opens on carrot seed and cardamom lifted by elemi resin, an unusual and faintly root-vegetable brightness that some wearers find odd on first spray and others read straight away as expensive. The heart is where it settles into shape: orris carries a cool, powdery weight, with jasmine and lily of the valley softening the edges rather than pushing a floral agenda. Underneath, cypriol lends a dry earthy rasp while Australian sandalwood, musk and amber build a creamy, slightly incensed base that lasts well into the evening. Performance is the trade-off. Longevity is respectable for the price, but projection is modest and several wearers describe it as a skin scent after the first hour. That suits its temperament. This is a fragrance for close quarters rather than a room, and the comparison the community reaches for most often is Le Labo Santal 33, softened and made more powdery. Wear it to the office, to a gallery, to anything where being noticed twice is better than being noticed once. It works best in the cooler half of spring and through autumn, when the iris reads velvety rather than dusty. The lane is quiet, woody-powdery minimalism at high-street money.
