Etro Jacquard is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2014, created by Mathieu Nardin. Jacquard opens with Angelica, Bergamot, Pepper, and Elemi, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Iris, and Ylang-Ylang, and dries down to a base of Musk, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Violet. Etro's Jacquard carries a Favourite verdict, a floral-led wear.

This one's a proper grower, not a shower. Initial impressions split opinion, but give it time and Jacquard settles into a uniquely comforting, powdery floral that many find surprisingly addictive.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Fall
Also Works:
Summer

Built for the cooler edges of the year - spring and autumn pair best.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Office Casual
Also Works:
Date

Its moderate sillage and subtle, powdery dry-down make it very suitable for casual wear or the office, as it's unlikely to offend. While not overtly romantic, its refined character could work for a relaxed date. It's too subdued for formal events and entirely inappropriate for sport.

About

Jacquard opens with an intriguing, almost peppery spice, brightened by bergamot, before softening into a sophisticated heart of powdery iris and creamy ylang-ylang. As it evolves, a delicate violet note emerges, underpinned by a smooth, clean musk and a hint of warm sandalwood, creating a surprisingly nuanced and elegant finish.
