Inspired Perfumes' 285 recreates the crisp, Mediterranean-summer freshness of Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue - Sicilian lemon and apple over a jasmine and white rose heart, settling into a cedar-musk-amber base. The citrus-apple opening is bright and true to the original, and it is genuinely one of the closer matches in this range at first spray. The gap opens up in the base: Light Blue's musk is engineered for exceptional longevity and became one of the defining 'clean skin' scents of its era, holding on for many hours, while this oil dupe's musk-amber base is noticeably lighter and settles within a couple of hours. The bamboo, jasmine and rose heart is also thinner here than the layered original. Still, it's a pleasant, easy fresh scent for daytime wear, and a fair everyday alternative to Light Blue for anyone happy to reapply through the day rather than relying on one spray to last.
