Jubilee Scents Invictus is an Eau de Parfum. Invictus opens with Grapefruit and Mandarin, settles into a heart of Jasmine and Bay Leaf, and dries down to a base of Patchouli, Guaiac Wood, Oakmoss, and Ambergris. Jubilee Scents's Invictus carries a Statement verdict, a aquatic-led wear.

Jubilee's dupe hits the grapefruit-marine opening of Invictus convincingly, but the guaiac wood and oakmoss base that gives the original its gym-locker warmth comes through thin and disappears well before the day is done.

About

Rabanne's Invictus built its mass appeal on an aquatic grapefruit opening over a warm ambergris and guaiac wood base, and it's the citrus-marine burst that Jubilee's dupe reproduces most convincingly. The grapefruit and mandarin top notes are bright and immediately recognisable. The bay leaf and jasmine heart is present but understated next to the original's punchier marine accord. The ambergris, guaiac wood and oakmoss base is the weakest link: it's there in outline but lacks the warmth and woody-mossy depth that gives Invictus its long-lasting, gym-fresh signature, fading to little within a few hours.
