LV132 Cactus Garden

Louis Vuitton's Cactus Garden plays on the contrast between a cactus's dry exterior and its wet interior, a citrus aromatic built on matcha tea, bergamot and lemongrass with a dry, mineral-green heart and a clean musky-woody base. LV132 keeps the same bright, tea-citrus opening: bergamot, lemongrass and tea up top, green notes and geranium in the heart, musk, vetiver and woody notes below. The bergamot-tea combination is fresh and recognisable, giving a good first impression of that clean, modern character. What's harder to reproduce is the original's clever dry-wet contrast, the slightly mineral, succulent-green facet that makes Cactus Garden distinctive among citrus fragrances; this version reads as a more straightforward green-musk freshness without that unusual dry edge. Still a pleasant, easy-wearing citrus for daytime use.
