Juliet Rose Carabosse Wicked Fairy is an Eau de Parfum, created by Juliet Rose. Carabosse Wicked Fairy opens with Rose and Violet, settles into a heart of Suede, Leather, Birch, and Plum, and dries down to a base of Cedar, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Petrichor. Juliet Rose's Carabosse Wicked Fairy carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

A dark, jammy Damascus rose with plum, leather and suede over petrichor, cedar and sandalwood: spooky and sensual by the maker, a soft romantic day scent to one buyer, with good sillage and longevity reported.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Autumn Winter
Also Works:
Spring

Wet earth, leather and an aged jammy rose point to autumn first and winter second. One buyer wears it as a soft romantic day scent, so spring is possible; summer is not.

Best Occasions

Also Works:
Date Casual

The maker calls it sensual and a buyer finds it romantic, so evenings and dates fit, and the one day-wear report calls it soft. It is too dark for most offices and has no sporting use.

About

Carabosse is named for the wicked fairy in Sleeping Beauty, and the maker calls it a spooky, dark and sensual jammy rose, aged for six months for richness and depth. It is a rose perfume with soil under it rather than a garden rose. The opening is Damascus rose with a little violet. The heart is plum, leather, suede and birch, which give the rose its jammy, dark skin. The base is petrichor, cedarwood, sandalwood and vetiver: the smell of wet earth and leaves after rain. One buyer who wanted exactly a petrichor rose, something that smells like the rose, leaves, stems and earth it grows out of, found it on a blind buy and called it unique with great sillage and longevity. Opinion is warm but varied. Another buyer found a fresh floral with an earthiness to it, a soft romantic day scent, while a third liked it but said some notes did not work for them. A single community rating describes projection and longevity as above average, which fits the buyer accounts but is one voice. It suits autumn evenings and wearers who like dark roses with leather rather than sweet ones. Sample it first if you are unsure about suede and birch. It is made by hand by Juliet Rose.
