Juliet Rose Bell Tower Raven is an Eau de Parfum, created by Juliet Rose. Bell Tower Raven opens with Wet Leaves, Citrus, Mandarin, and Rose, settles into a heart of Coal, Vetiver, Oakmoss, and Cypress, and dries down to a base of Cedar, Patchouli, Myrrh, and Frankincense. Juliet Rose's Bell Tower Raven carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

A damp, mossy gothic with petrichor, peat and frankincense: a dark, murky forest at dusk that fans love for its atmosphere. It is intense, and a few wearers find it synthetic, so sample first.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Autumn Winter

Damp moss, petrichor and a dusk forest feel point to autumn first, with winter close behind for the resinous base. Spring is possible for the green side, while summer suits it poorly despite one August wedding wearer.

Best Occasions

Also Works:
Casual Formal

Fans wear it as an everyday favourite and one wore it to a wedding, so casual and formal both work. It is intense and divides wearers, which makes it a poor office choice, and it has no sporting use.

About

Bell Tower Raven is a gothic scent built around damp earth and moss rather than flowers, though tea rose sits quietly at the front. The maker calls it natural, green and woody, full of atmosphere and weight, and the word wearers reach for is murky: a dark forest at dusk, with cold stone, moss and petrichor. The opening mixes tea rose with citrus, basil, mandarin, plum and pomegranate over wet leaves. The heart is the point of the scent: oakmoss, petrichor, peat and coal with vetiver, cypress and sage. The base adds patchouli and cedar with a resinous trio of frankincense, opoponax and myrrh, which one sample wearer called resinous and a little creepy. It is divisive. Fans call it weird and wonderful, with a fresh, smoky sweetness, and it drew compliments at a wedding. Others found it intense and synthetic, like a household cleaner or air freshener, and one found it went powdery. The maker promises six hours or more with excellent projection, and one wearer reports two sprays lasting all day. It leans feminine on paper but is said to wear just as well on a man. It suits autumn and anyone who wants a perfume with a mood rather than a pretty shape. It is made by hand by Juliet Rose.
