À la Rose

À la Rose is Maison Francis Kurkdjian's eau de parfum about roses in full bloom, and it keeps the weight low. It opens with Calabrian bergamot, pear and litchi, juicy and bright, with a dewy sweetness that feels freshly picked. The heart is two roses side by side, one Bulgarian, one from Grasse. Together they give a clear, crystalline floral that is full without being heavy, with violet and sweet pea adding a petal-soft powderiness and a hint of green. The base is quiet. Musk and cedar lend a clean, gentle finish that sits on the skin like a fresh cotton shirt, and the rose carries on faintly over the top.
