Marks & Spencer Midnight Blossom is an Eau de Parfum. Midnight Blossom opens with Mandarin, settles into a heart of Jasmine and Tuberose, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, and Vanilla. Marks & Spencer's Midnight Blossom carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

A sweet jasmine and tuberose white floral warmed with amber, musk and vanilla. Easy, romantic and well priced, but the parfum does not clearly outlast the toilette, so expect to top up through the day.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Fall
Also Works:
Summer Winter

Creamy jasmine and tuberose over a warm amber-musk base suit mild spring evenings and cooler autumn days best. Wearers also report it working on a summer evening because it is light rather than heavy.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Casual
Also Works:
Office

The sweet, musky white floral reads as an evening and dinner scent, and it is soft enough for everyday wear. It is too sweet and floral to suit sport and a little too casual for formal events.

About

Midnight Blossom Eau de Parfum is a white-floral bouquet turned down low for the evening. It opens with a quick flash of mandarin, bright and lightly sweet, before jasmine and tuberose take over. The two flowers sit close together. Jasmine is sugary and a little green, tuberose is creamy and slightly heady, and between them they carry most of the scent. Underneath, amber, musk and a soft touch of vanilla keep the whole thing warm and skin-like rather than sticky, so the drydown reads as cosy, clean and faintly powdery. Wearers who know the eau de toilette find the same character here, and the parfum is meant to be the longer-lasting version. Opinion on that is split. Plenty of wearers get a full day from it and report compliments, while others find it fades to a skin scent within a few hours, no better than the toilette, so a 50 ml bottle in the handbag for a midday top-up is a sensible habit. It is light and polished rather than loud: a fragrance that stays close and draws people in instead of announcing itself. Within the Discover range it is the sweet white floral for dinners, dressed-up days and cooler evenings, and it is often compared with the warm white-floral style of Black Opium, though it is softer, muskier and much easier to live with. At this price it is an easy gift or an everyday treat.
