Inspired by Miss Dior (Original 1947 Version) is Match Fragrances' budget reading of the original 1947 Miss Dior - Jean Carles and Paul Vacher's floral chypre that launched Dior's perfume house alongside Christian Dior's New Look. Match's pyramid mirrors the original community pyramid: aldehydes, gardenia, galbanum, bergamot and clary sage on top, a carnation-iris-rose-jasmine-lily of the valley heart, and an oakmoss-patchouli-sandalwood-labdanum chypre base. The first hour is the strongest match: aldehydes and galbanum lift the gardenia-bergamot opening, with the trademark green-floral chypre impression arriving within minutes. By the heart the carnation and iris carry the powdery floral backbone, with rose, jasmine and lily of the valley rounding the bouquet.
