Winter in a bottle, more or less. Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, a Private Blend released in 2007, is the reference for this Match Fragrances Eau de Parfum. Tobacco leads from the first spray, dry and leafy, with spice around it. It is a heavy, adult opening and does not try to be fresh. The heart brings the sweetness: vanilla, cacao butter, tonka bean and a tobacco blossom that has a honeyed, floral softness. The combination is rich, creamy and rounded off by dry fruits. A woody base sits beneath, steadying the vanilla and giving a long, dry finish. It does not project hugely, staying near the skin for a few hours, which suits how heavy it is. This is for winter nights and cold days, an evening scent, not a daytime one.
