Max Foucaut Ombre Vivante is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2024. Ombre Vivante opens with Candied Fruits and Leather, settles into a heart of Floral Notes, Ylang-Ylang, Honey, and Tea, and dries down to a base of Leather, Sandalwood, and Saffron. Max Foucaut's Ombre Vivante carries an Acquired verdict, a musk-led wear.

A leather-led Eau de Parfum that pairs candied fruit with honeyed florals, tea, sandalwood and saffron, framed as a study of London tailoring. Wearer feedback is almost absent.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Ombre Vivante is the London scent in Max Foucaut's OMBRE Eau de Parfum collection, a trio that ties each fragrance to a city and a fabric. London's fabric is tweed, and the brand frames this scent around a tailor's atelier: steamed cloth, the metal of a thimble and needle, and the shadows left by stitches. Leather appears at both ends of the scent. It opens with leather and candied fruit, which gives a sweet, slightly sharp start. The heart brings honey, tea, ylang-ylang and other florals, and the base returns to leather, now with sandalwood and saffron. That repeated leather note is the thread through the whole composition. It is an unusually specific idea, built around garment-making rather than a landscape or a season. The scent was launched in 2024, and almost nobody has rated it. There is no written wearer account, so how long it lasts, how far it carries and when it suits cannot be stated with confidence. Ombre Vivante is for wearers who like leather softened by honey and fruit rather than leather at its driest. A sample on skin is the sensible first step.
