Max Foucaut Ombre Nocturne is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2024. Ombre Nocturne opens with Smoke, Bergamot, Lemon, and Mandarin, settles into a heart of Floral Notes, Spicy Notes, Jasmine, and Iris, and dries down to a base of Balsam, Woody Notes, Solar Notes, and Sandalwood. Max Foucaut's Ombre Nocturne carries an Acquired verdict, a fresh-led wear.

A nocturnal floral chypre that sets smoky citrus and iris against coffee, tobacco, heliotrope and sandalwood. There is very little wearer feedback, so performance and fit are not established.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Ombre Nocturne is the Paris scent in Max Foucaut's OMBRE Eau de Parfum collection, a trio that ties each fragrance to a city and a fabric. Paris is silk, and the brand's story is of rain-darkened cobblestones, flowers, blond tobacco and wooden herringbone floors. The brand calls the scent genderless. The opening mixes bergamot, mandarin, lemon and orange blossom with a smoky edge. The heart is floral and spiced, with iris, jasmine and ylang-ylang alongside coffee. The base is where the night comes in: heliotrope, vanilla, tobacco, sandalwood, balsam, woods and a solar note, with labdanum and vetiver underneath. One published review reads it as a floral chypre, picks out powdery floral and vanilla facets, and singles out the coffee and the solar note as unusual details. The reaction is positive, but it is a single opinion, and almost nobody else has rated the scent. It was launched in 2024. That is too little to say how long it lasts, how far it carries, or when it suits best. Ombre Nocturne is for wearers who like a smoky, slightly sweet floral with tobacco in the base, and a sample is the sensible way to find out whether the coffee and smoke work for you.
