Neshama Perfume Souls on Fire is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2022, created by Simon Shaer. Souls on Fire opens with Pink Pepper and Basil, settles into a heart of Jasmine and Osmanthus, and dries down to a base of Tobacco, Civet, and Labdanum. Neshama Perfume's Souls on Fire carries a Statement verdict, a fruity-led wear.

A bright, peppery herbal opening over a plush osmanthus and jasmine heart, settling into tobacco, labdanum and animalic warmth. Wearers differ on how soft or challenging the civet feels, so sample before buying.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Autumn Winter
Also Works:
Spring

Wearer votes lean towards autumn and winter, although spring and summer also receive substantial votes. One reviewer wore it in warm weather without calling it seasonal, so no season is exclusive.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date
Also Works:
Casual Formal

A close, non-invasive wear account and intimate descriptions support date and casual use. The animalic edge divides wearers, so office suitability is low, and no one describes sport use.

About

Souls on Fire is a 20% Extrait de Parfum from Neshama, launched in 2022 and credited to perfumer Simon Shaer. It opens with basil and pink pepper, a bright, slightly tart start that several wearers liken to fresh herbs or fermented cider. Osmanthus then gives the heart its rounded, apricot-like floral character, and jasmine becomes more noticeable as the opening softens. Tobacco and labdanum bring a darker, dry warmth to the later stages, and civet adds an animalic, skin-like edge. The pepper and basil recede, the florals grow creamier, and tobacco becomes more obvious in the dry-down. The civet is where impressions divide most. Some wearers find it soft, natural and beautifully blended. Others describe a challenging, faecal facet and recommend sampling first. It can feel lush and intimate to one person and striking and difficult to another. Performance reports are mixed too. One published wear account describes moderate longevity and a close, non-invasive trail, while other wearers range from short wear to ten to twelve hours. Votes lean moderate for both longevity and sillage. It suits anyone who enjoys textured florals, animalic warmth and a scent that changes on skin, and a sample is advisable if civet or a bold herbal opening is a concern.
