Neshama Perfume Ninth Wave is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2023, created by Simon Shaer. Ninth Wave opens with Citron, Bergamot, Pepper, and Nutmeg, settles into a heart of Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha, Sandalwood, Geranium, and Chinese Oud, and dries down to a base of Virginia Cedarwood, Cedar, Oakmoss, and Civet. Neshama Perfume's Ninth Wave carries a Statement verdict, a woody-led wear.

Ninth Wave joins sandalwood and oud with a cool, minty-green edge and warming spice. Wearers differ on its fresh character and on how long it lasts, so sample first if projection or long wear matters.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Ninth Wave is a 20% Extrait de Parfum from Neshama, launched in 2023 and credited to perfumer Simon Shaer. It comes in 50 ml and 15 ml bottles. Sandalwood and Chinese oud form its core, with cypriol grounding them. The opening is bergamot, citron, pepper and nutmeg. Geranium joins sandalwood, oud and cypriol in the heart, and the base is oakmoss, Virginia cedarwood, cedar, castoreum and civet. The brand names these materials in detail, and the composition is woody, earthy and spicy. A small set of wearer comments describes a minty opening, and it divides opinion. One person finds it refreshing rather than toothpaste-like, while another compares the geranium-led effect to a dentist's office. Other wearers describe clean oud, clear woods, black pepper and an earthy, meditative character, and some mention creamy sandalwood, spice and resin. Most read it as unisex, although a few lean masculine. Performance reports vary. Some voters call it long-lasting while others report very weak longevity, and sillage ranges from intimate to strong. The samples are modest and give no exact wear time. It can feel fresh or minty at the start, then settle close to the skin before the woods and moss open out. A sample is the best first step.
