Oakcha Crimson Star is an Extrait de Parfum. Crimson Star opens with Raspberry and Litchi, settles into a heart of Rose, and dries down to a base of Akigalawood and Benzoin. Oakcha's Crimson Star carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

A glossy raspberry and lychee opening over a full damask rose and a warm, woody-resinous base. Sweet, confident and made to stand out.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Crimson Star is loud in the best way. Raspberry and lychee open together, with the first tart and jammy and the second pale, floral and sugary. The result is mouthwatering and bright, with a glossy, almost glittery feel. The heart is a single rich rose. It is a damask rose, full and slightly spiced, and it bridges the fruit above and the wood below with real depth. There is romance in it, but also a lot of confidence. The base is modern and warm. Akigalawood adds a peppery, airy woodiness that feels slightly futuristic, and benzoin gives a smooth, balsamic sweetness. Together they make the drydown glow rather than weigh down. In extrait form at 30 percent, it lasts a long time and leaves a luminous trail, so a light hand is enough. It is a good fit for evenings, social events and cool or mild weather. Bottom line: a vivid fruity-rose with a warm woody glow and strong presence.
