Oakcha Nervio is an Extrait de Parfum. Nervio opens with Labdanum, Incense, Blackberry, and Ink, settles into a heart of Davana, Iris, Cardamom, and Myrrh, and dries down to a base of Musk, Cedar, Sandalwood, and Birch. Oakcha's Nervio carries an Acquired verdict, a musk-led wear.

Blackberry, ink and incense open onto iris, opoponax and myrrh, then ambergris, styrax and woods. A dark, resinous and slightly animalic scent for evenings. It is Oakcha's take on Mortal Skin.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Autumn Winter

Incense, resins, ambergris and wood are heavy and warm, which makes cold weather the best fit. They would feel stifling in summer heat.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Formal

Dense and dramatic, so it suits late evenings, nights out and dates. It is too heavy for most offices.

About

Nervio smells dark, dense and a little dramatic. Blackberry opens with a juicy, tart fruit note, and ink, incense and labdanum quickly add a smoky, resinous edge that takes the scent away from anything sweet. The heart is balsamic and powdery. Opoponax and myrrh bring thick resin, iris adds a cool, dry powder, davana gives a warm, fruity herbal tone, and cardamom threads a clean spice through the middle. The base is deep and rich. Ambergris and styrax give a salty, smoky sweetness, sandalwood and cedarwood add dry wood, and labdanum returns with more amber warmth. Civet and birch add a faint animalic and smoky edge, and musk smooths the finish. As an extrait it is long lasting and fairly strong, with a trail that stays noticeable. It suits cool weather, late evenings and people who prefer dark, resinous scents that do not try to be pretty. It is easy to wear on men and women alike. Oakcha no longer sells it, and its page has been removed from oakcha.com; this page records it for owners. Bottom line: a dark blackberry, incense and resin scent with an ambergris base.
