Tom Ford Lost Cherry

Lost Cherry is one of Tom Ford's most-hunted Private Blends for a reason: a boozy, marzipan-tinged cherry note that reads more liqueur than fruit bowl. This One Pure Drop oil goes straight for that signature, opening with a bright, sweet black cherry and bitter almond pairing that is genuinely close to the original's first impression. Where it simplifies is underneath - the Turkish rose and jasmine that give the real Lost Cherry its perfumey backbone are present but muted, and the tonka-vanilla base leans sweeter and flatter than the original's liqueur-like depth. It reads more straightforwardly gourmand as a result, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for fans of the cherry-almond combination on its own terms. As an oil it applies sparingly and sits close to skin, which suits a scent this sweet - a little goes further than you'd expect.
