Ortir Apothecari Haf is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2022. Haf opens with Bergamot, Grapefruit, and Blackcurrant, settles into a heart of Rose, Jasmine, and Magnolia, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood. Ortir Apothecari's Haf carries a Statement verdict, a fresh-led wear.

A sunny citrus-floral: zesty grapefruit and bergamot with green blackcurrant over rose, magnolia and jasmine, finishing on soft sandalwood. Bright, joyful and best in spring and summer; the few early voters all like or love it.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer Autumn

Spring leads on a unanimous vote and summer follows on the name, the sunny citrus opening and the stockist's advice; the sandalwood finish is soft enough to carry it into early autumn. Winter is the weakest.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Office Casual
Also Works:
Date Sport

A bright everyday scent for daytime and casual wear, comfortable at the office, with a soft sensual side that carries into the evening. Formal wear is secondary.

About

Haf is the Welsh word for summer, said "haarv", and Lisa Howarth built it to capture a hot, blue-sky day and the emotional richness of her garden. It is the brightest scent in the Ortir debut collection: heady sunshine in a bottle rather than a sugary summer fruit salad. It opens with an intense burst of zesty grapefruit and bergamot, balanced by green, ripe blackcurrant. As the citrus settles, the florals unfurl: a fruity rose, creamy magnolia and a clear jasmine, vibrant but soft. The finish is soft, sensual sandalwood that keeps the whole thing warm and slightly creamy. Votes are few but encouraging. Wearers report long-lasting wear and a sillage that ranges from close to far-reaching, so start with one or two sprays and use a lighter hand in hot weather. Spring is the clear favourite season, with summer, autumn and a quiet winter wear following, and it works as an easy daytime scent for the office or a garden afternoon, with enough softness to take into the evening. Haf is one of four Welsh-named eaux de parfum in the debut collection, sold in 50 ml at 114 pounds and in a small 10 ml size. It suits people who love bright citrus openings but want more floral fullness than a cologne gives. The stockist lists it for her, though the votes lean unisex.
