Perfume Parlour's Amira Rose is built to echo Guerlain's Rose Amira, a minimalist rose-incense composition that leans on a small note count for maximum impact. The rose opening here is true to the brief - full, slightly jammy and unmistakably the star of the show - and the frankincense-patchouli heart brings a smoky, resinous depth that captures the original's meditative, almost liturgical character reasonably well. The musk base keeps things soft rather than sharp, which is faithful in spirit but noticeably thinner than Guerlain's own long-wearing skin-scent finish. Because the original relies on the quality of a handful of raw materials rather than a complex pyramid, a dupe either nails the texture or falls flat, and this version sits in the middle - a recognisable rose-incense silhouette that reads pleasant and wearable but lacks the smoky richness and lasting power of the real thing, fading to near-nothing well before the original's famous longevity kicks in.
