Apple Pastry Bliss interprets Sora Dora's Jany, an acclaimed apple-pie gourmand extrait. It opens like a dessert straight from the oven: baked apple, flaky puff pastry and warm Ceylon cinnamon. As it develops, caramel, intoxicating almond and a soft fruity richness of apricot, peach and plum add creamy sweetness and depth. Against the original, this Perfume Parlour version captures the freshly-baked-apple-pie signature convincingly but renders it thinner and even sweeter - it loses some of Jany's buttery, realistic crust and the dense, heady presence of the extrait.
