Arabian Veil opens rich and golden: thick honey drizzled over a lift of bergamot, sweet from the first breath. The heart brings the signature Arabians Musk accord - juicy dates and a soft orange blossom that adds a touch of floral roundness to the syrup. The drydown settles into a creamy vanilla, tonka and sugar cushioned by clean white musk, a cosy gourmand-amber finish. Held against the Montale it imitates, this Perfume Parlour version captures the honeyed-date sweetness convincingly but pushes it sweeter and more candied, while the musk that gives the original its sensual, skin-like depth reads thin here and the elegant floral-to-woody evolution is largely smoothed into a linear sweet warmth. Projection is gentle and it sits close after the first hour. As an affordable cosy gourmand for cold evenings it delivers comfort and a hint of mystery, just without the niche's nuance or staying power.
