Aromatic XII opens soft and clean: dewy freesia and a watery lotus drift over a heart of jasmine wrapped around a warm, skin-like musk. It is Perfume Parlour's take on Kayali Musk 12 (2018), the cult clean musk famed for smelling like fresh bubble bath - pretty florals balanced by a comforting, fuzzy white musk. The dupe captures that bathed-and-cosy character convincingly, with the same powdery-floral lift and a soft vanilla-sandalwood drydown. As with the original, this is a skin scent: it sits close and stays gentle rather than projecting, and the musk here reads a fraction simpler and less radiant than Kayali's. Longevity is moderate - much like Musk 12, which fades softly over a few hours and is often layered for staying power. The effect is clean, calming and quietly romantic. Best across spring, summer and milder autumn days, it is a lovely everyday and office scent, and a soft, easy choice for relaxed dates.
