Florence Man

Perfume Parlour Florence Man is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2003. Florence Man opens with Artemisia, Basil, Bergamot, and Lavender, settles into a heart of Geranium, Cedar, Jasmine, and Patchouli, and dries down to a base of Vanilla, Sage, Leather, and Labdanum. Perfume Parlour's Florence Man carries a Statement verdict, a woody-led wear.

Florence Man chases the cult dry incense-and-cedar austerity of Gucci Pour Homme 2003, and gets the smoky papyrus heart convincingly. The original's architectural depth and that smouldering-cigar leather facet come through thinner here, but for a budget tribute to a discontinued legend it reads honestly.

About

Florence Man opens herbal and dry - artemisia, basil and a squeeze of lemon-bergamot over a spicy ginger lift, much like the aromatic top of Gucci Pour Homme 2003. The heart is where the tribute earns its keep: cedar and papyrus dominate, threaded with pink pepper, patchouli and orris for that signature pencil-shaving dryness. Incense rises through the base alongside leather, labdanum and oakmoss, finishing earthy, warm and faintly mysterious. Compared to the original's celebrated three-dimensional smoke and its smouldering, almost cigar-like leather, this Perfume Parlour version lands flatter and closer to the skin, with the incense reading cleaner and less resinous. Longevity is moderate rather than the original's all-day grip, and projection stays intimate. A cool-weather, evening-leaning woody-aromatic that captures the spirit of a discontinued cult scent without its full architecture.
