Italian Origins opens bright and aromatic: lemon and bergamot sparkle against herbaceous lavender, capturing the uplifting citrus burst that defines Aramis Tuscany. The heart turns spicy and a little old-school with anise and patchouli over a touch of amber, while basil keeps it green. The drydown is a smooth, soft leather laced with tonka, finishing in the moss-and-tonka fougere style the original made famous. Compared to the Aramis, Perfume Parlour keeps the structure intact but renders it lighter and cleaner, with the spicy-leathery depth and the vintage's potency softened. Projection is moderate and longevity decent for the price, though it does not match older bottles of the original. A versatile, classically masculine aromatic fougere for spring days and cool evenings, comfortable at the office or out.
