Lamar Bloom

Perfume Parlour Lamar Bloom is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2020. Lamar Bloom opens with Pineapple, Red Berries, Apple, and Cardamom, settles into a heart of Rose, Rose, Magnolia, and Jasmine, and dries down to a base of Musk, Vanilla, Amber, and Cashmere Wood. Perfume Parlour's Lamar Bloom carries a Statement verdict, a fruity-led wear.

A budget run at Kajal's Lamar. Lamar Bloom captures the loud, overripe pineapple-and-berry opening and the creamy rose heart, but Perfume Parlour's version reads sweeter and flatter, trading the original's strong sillage and plush woody-musky drydown for a softer, shorter-lived trail.

About

Lamar Bloom comes out swinging with a near-overripe burst of pineapple, exactly the signature that made Kajal's Lamar a talking point, backed by tart red berries, juicy apple and a flicker of cardamom and coriander spice. The opening is loud, fruity and opulent, the most faithful part of the dupe. The heart softens into a creamy floral bouquet, Bulgarian and Turkish rose layered with magnolia and jasmine sambac, lending a touch of elegance behind the fruit. The drydown settles warm and musky over vanilla, amber, cashmere wood, cedar and a whisper of moss. Compared with the original, the Perfume Parlour interpretation pushes the sweetness harder and renders the rose and woods a little more two-dimensional, so it loses some of Lamar's plush depth. Performance also steps down: where the original throws strong projection and long wear, this dupe sits closer to the skin and fades sooner. Still, for a few pounds it delivers that distinctive pineapple-rose opulence convincingly enough to scratch the itch.
