Majestic Substance For Women

Perfume Parlour Majestic Substance For Women is an Eau de Parfum launched in 1972. Majestic Substance For Women opens with Bergamot and Neroli, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Freesia, and Lavender, and dries down to a base of Musk and Oakmoss. Perfume Parlour's Majestic Substance For Women carries a Statement verdict, a musky-led wear.

A budget reading of the legendary Jovan Musk - the same warm, slightly powdery floral musk wrapped around jasmine, neroli and bergamot. Majestic Substance lands that cosy skin-scent character but the musk reads simpler and a little flatter than the 1972 cult classic, and it stays close with similarly modest longevity.

About

Majestic Substance opens with a soft citrus lift of bergamot and neroli before melting into its true heart: a warm, slightly powdery musk threaded with jasmine and a whisper of freesia and lavender. It is Perfume Parlour's take on Jovan Musk (1972), the cult drugstore musk famed for its sexy, skin-like warmth and its almost magnetic, comforting glow. The dupe captures that intimate floral-musk character convincingly, but the musk here reads a touch simpler and the floral heart thinner, so it misses some of the original's rounded, animalic depth. The drydown settles into a clean musk with a faint mossy warmth, sitting very close to the skin. Longevity is moderate - much like the original, which was known to fade and reappear through the day. The effect is cosy and sensual rather than loud: a soft second-skin scent that flatters in cooler weather and on milder spring days. Ideal for casual wear, easy dates and relaxed evenings.
