Manor

Perfume Parlour Manor is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2017. Manor opens with Raspberry and Cumin, settles into a heart of Birch, Amber, Benzoin, and Patchouli, and dries down to a base of Moss, Guaiac Wood, Vetiver, and Musk. Perfume Parlour's Manor carries an Acquired verdict, a warm spicy-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's affordable read on Orto Parisi Terroni - a smoky, loamy, almost feral earth scent of cumin and birch over guaiac wood, vetiver, moss and animalic musk, with a thread of raspberry sweetness. PP captures the dirty, smouldering 'forest floor' signature of the niche original, but lands rougher and less rounded, with the smoke louder and the resinous warmth thinner. A daring earthy-woody for a fraction of the Orto Parisi price.

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter

Its smoky, earthy, musky depth makes it firmly an autumn and winter scent; the heavy animalic base is too intense for warm weather.

Best Occasions

Also Works:
Casual

The dark, primal character suits casual cold-weather wear and confident evenings far more than the office or sport, where its loud earthiness can feel polarising.

About

Manor is Perfume Parlour's budget interpretation of Orto Parisi Terroni, the divisive 2017 niche scent built around earth, dirt and smoke. It opens dark and spicy - a sharp cumin and charred-birch facet, softened by a glint of raspberry sweetness - before deepening into a loamy, almost primal heart of patchouli, amber and benzoin. The drydown is where the original lives: guaiac wood, vetiver, moss and a heavy animalic musk that reads like a warm, comforting forest floor. As a budget dupe this version keeps the smoky, earthy DNA but renders it rougher and more two-dimensional, with the bitter smoke pushed forward and the resinous, balsamic warmth of tonka and vanilla thinner than in the niche original. Performance is decent for the price, though without Terroni's potent 8-12 hour staying power. A bold, grounding, mysterious woody-earthy for cold-weather wear and anyone after Terroni's primal character on a budget.
