Mystic Y opens on a crisp, aromatic lavender, cleaner and a touch brighter than the original's denser herbal start. A floral, slightly spicy geranium carries the heart, adding lift and a barbershop polish. The base turns smoky with frankincense and a whisper of oud, reaching for the dark, resinous, leathery drydown that gives YSL Y Elixir its formal, after-dark presence. Compared to the YSL, this Perfume Parlour version is simpler and more linear: the lavender stays prominent while the layered incense-woods-and-oud depth is thinned into a more straightforward smoky finish, and the synthetic edges show through more, with the scent collapsing to a skin trail sooner. It still delivers a confident, smoky-aromatic profile that works for evenings, formal wear and cooler-weather daily use.
