Night Time

Perfume Parlour Night Time is an Eau de Parfum. Night Time opens with Plum, Orange Blossom, and Blackcurrant, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Rose, and Ylang-Ylang, and dries down to a base of Ambergris and Oud. Perfume Parlour's Night Time carries a Statement verdict, a fruity-led wear.

A budget take on Swiss Arabian's Layali. Night Time captures the juicy dark-plum opening and lush floral heart over oud and amber that defines the original, but Perfume Parlour's version reads sweeter and flatter, with the precious oud feeling more synthetic and the enormous sillage of the original reined in.

About

Night Time opens on the dark, juicy plum that signs Swiss Arabian's Layali, threaded with musky black currant and the green-floral sparkle of orange blossom. The heart blooms into a rich oriental bouquet, creamy jasmine and ylang-ylang folded around a velvety rose. It settles onto a warm base of ambergris and agarwood, the oud spreading the sweet, resinous richness the original is loved for. Set beside Layali, the Perfume Parlour interpretation keeps that fruity-floral-oud character recognisable but pushes the sweetness louder and renders the oud thinner and more synthetic, so it lacks the seamless depth of the original. Layali is famous for enormous sillage, and here the projection is dialled back to a warmer, more intimate trail. Longevity is good for the price but short of the original's all-day staying power. For a few pounds it delivers that sensual, plum-and-oud nighttime signature faithfully, made for cool-weather evenings and dressed-up occasions.
