Noire Labellum

Noire Labellum opens with the distinctive savoury-fruity overture of Tom Ford Black Orchid: a touch of earthy black truffle and tart black currant beside jasmine and lotus. The heart is all about the lush black orchid, spiced and slightly fruity, before the rich base of dark chocolate, patchouli, vanilla, sandalwood and incense pulls everything into a deep, seductive drydown. Perfume Parlour's take captures the opulent, mysterious character that made the original a modern icon, leaning a little sweeter and more approachable. Against the real Black Orchid it reads simpler - the savoury truffle edge is softened, the floral less three-dimensional, and projection more reserved where the original easily fills a room. Longevity is moderate. A bold, sensual budget dark-floral for cool-weather evenings.
