Opium Rouge opens on a sweet, glossy cherry with a lift of green mandarin - the red-glaze twist that defines Black Opium Over Red. A floral heart of jasmine, orange blossom and black tea bridges into the recognisable Black Opium drydown of vanilla, coffee and patchouli, keeping the cosy gourmand roots intact under the fruit. The original is deliberately soft, airy and close-wearing, a gentle cherry-vanilla statement rather than a powerhouse; this Perfume Parlour interpretation follows that light path but renders it more two-dimensional, with the cherry pushed forward while the coffee-vanilla base sits thinner and fades faster to the skin. It is a fun, flirtatious choice for dates and evenings, delivering the Over Red mood at a budget price.
