Red Gem For Women

Perfume Parlour Red Gem For Women is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2013. Red Gem For Women opens with Bergamot, Raspberry, and Blackcurrant, settles into a heart of Rose, Lily Of The Valley, and Freesia, and dries down to a base of Patchouli and Ambrette. Perfume Parlour's Red Gem For Women carries a Favourite verdict, a fruity-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's version of Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose. The dewy raspberry-and-rose with its tart blackcurrant lift is captured well, with Red Gem pushing a fuller, sweeter fruit-rose than the deliberately sheer, whisper-soft original.

About

Red Gem opens light and fruity - a sparkling raspberry and tart blackcurrant brightened by bergamot, setting up the playful fruity-rose that defines Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose. The heart is a fresh, petal-soft rose, dewy rather than heavy or powdery, threaded with freesia and lily of the valley for a feminine, morning-bouquet feel. The drydown is clean and soft on patchouli and a musky ambrette, keeping the whole thing modern and casual. As a dupe it tracks the original's sheer raspberry-rose character closely, but where the Armani is famously delicate - a whisper on the skin that gets sweeter as the raspberry builds - the PP version reads a touch fuller and sweeter from the start, the fruit a little louder. That trade also helps performance: Red Gem projects a bit more and holds the rose longer than the deliberately light original. A romantic, easy fruity-floral for warm-weather daytime and dates that captures a delicate designer favourite at a budget price.
