Vintage Intrinsic

Perfume Parlour Vintage Intrinsic is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2016. Vintage Intrinsic opens with Tangerine, Ginger, and Aldehydes, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom and Jasmine, and dries down to a base of Vanilla, Cream, Benzoin, and Cashmere Wood. Perfume Parlour's Vintage Intrinsic carries a Favourite verdict, a vanilla-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's Vintage Intrinsic chases the discontinued JPG Classique Essence de Parfum - the ginger-tangerine sparkle over orange blossom and whipped-cream vanilla is recognisable, but this dupe flattens the elegant gourmand-floral balance that made the collector original special.

About

Vintage Intrinsic opens fresh and spicy, a sparkle of tangerine and ginger lifted by soft aldehydes. The heart blooms with orange blossom and jasmine sambac, seductive and feminine, before the base takes over with the original's signature decadence: whipped cream and vanilla rounded with benzoin and cashmere wood. It chases Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Essence de Parfum, a discontinued, collector-sought gourmand-floral described as daring and elegant - a gourmand with intelligence, a floral with an edge. This budget version captures the creamy-vanilla-and-orange-blossom DNA but renders flatter and a touch sweeter: the gourmand cream and vanilla read up front, while the original's bright spicy lift and elegant balance are dialled back into something more linear. Performance is decent for the style - moderate-to-good longevity with gentle-to-moderate projection. As an elegant, creamy gourmand-floral for autumn and winter evenings and dates it delivers the cosy sophistication people love; just without quite the original's polish.
