World opens soft and golden, creamy ylang-ylang and juicy peach over a fresh squeeze of bergamot and lemon. The heart is unmistakably Samsara: an opulent, intensely floral jasmine threaded with powdery iris, narcissus, violet and rose, lush and a little old-world. The drydown is where the original's magic lived, and the dupe leans hard into it: smooth sandalwood wrapped in golden vanilla, with tonka, amber and musk for warmth. Against Guerlain's Samsara, this clone keeps the sandalwood-jasmine signature but renders the sandalwood flatter and more synthetic than the famed Mysore-rich original, so it loses some of that buttery, three-dimensional creaminess. Projection is moderate and longevity runs a few hours of warm floral-woods before settling close to the skin, where the Guerlain famously lingers. As an affordable route into a creamy, sophisticated vintage-style oriental floral, it captures the spirit well for cooler-weather evenings.
