Prin Eshu is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2020, created by Prin Lomros. Prin's Eshu carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

Eshu is a divisive and mischievous scent; some find it a complex, spiritual masterpiece, others a challenging, even 'burnt rubber' experience. Definitely not a blind buy unless you like a gamble.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

With long-lasting performance and moderate sillage, Eshu is a bit much for the office. Its unique and complex profile, often described as 'mischievous' or 'eccentric', makes it a better fit for dates, casual outings, or even formal events where you want to stand out.

Declarable allergens

We derive these from the materials behind this fragrance's notes, not from the bottle. Each one is likely, not confirmed. The list is partial - the box can name others.

In standard patch-test panels

The large name is the everyday one. The small name is the INCI form on the box, so you can compare the two. Reactions differ between people. A patch-test panel is not a ranking of risk. How we derive this

About

This is a complex, almost ritualistic scent. It opens with a boozy hit of cognac, quickly joined by an eccentric spice blend of pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg. As it develops, a smoky ash note emerges alongside dry tobacco and a unique hay accord. The base is a deep, resinous affair of frankincense and elemi, grounded by woody notes of cedar and oakmoss, with a subtle animalic touch from castoreum.
