Gypsy River is Rebel Aromas' budget riff on Byredo's cult favourite Gypsy Water, aiming for its bohemian, fresh-woody signature. The top opens with bergamot, lemon, juniper and pepper berries, giving a bright, slightly spiced citrus start reminiscent of the original's crisp opening. Pine needles, incense and orris carry the heart, echoing Gypsy Water's earthy, resinous character, though the blend here feels a touch more disjointed and less seamless than Byredo's celebrated smoothness.
