Dark Desire riffs on Givenchy's L'Interdit, one of the defining bold white florals in modern designer perfumery, though it takes noticeably more liberties than a tight dupe usually would. Instead of L'Interdit's signature tuberose-orange blossom-pear opening, this version leads with a darker black cherry and bergamot combination before moving into a jasmine, orchid and rose heart that nods at the original's intense floral character without replicating its exact composition. Patchouli, vanilla and sandalwood in the base add warmth and a touch of sensuality, echoing L'Interdit's vetiver-patchouli grounding, but the overall effect is softer and considerably shorter-lived, settling into a light skin scent within a few hours rather than the original's 8-9 hour staying power.
