The heart brings leather and cedarwood forward quickly, echoing the original's outdoorsy character, though it lacks the smooth blending that makes Explorer feel polished rather than raw. The base settles into amber, patchouli and musk, a serviceable approximation of the designer's rich, earthy dry-down, but noticeably thinner and less textured, with far less staying power once past the four-hour mark. It performs best as a daytime or casual-evening scent where longevity is a secondary concern, and works well for anyone who wants the adventurous leather-amber vibe of the original without the price tag, provided expectations for depth and duration are adjusted accordingly.
