Lemon Pie Body Mist

Lemon Pie extends Sabrina Carpenter's Sweet Tooth line, and unlike most celebrity body mists it has a named perfumer and a fully published pyramid. Gil Clavien built it as a citrus gourmand, and the structure is genuinely a dessert rather than a lemon fragrance with sugar bolted on. It opens on what the brand calls a citrus triple threat: candied lemon, Italian bergamot and neroli, bright and sharp for the first few minutes with the candied quality already suggesting where it is going. The heart adds limoncello, which is the note that does the real work, taking the zest into something sweeter, boozier and rounder, with jasmine, orange blossom and violet smoothing the edges into an airy floral cocktail. The base is the pie: vanilla bean, liquid sugar and a graham cracker crust accord, which reads as buttery, biscuity and faintly salted, and which is what turns the whole thing from a lemon sherbet into an actual slice of something. The format keeps expectations sensible. A body mist at this price is formulated weak, so you get an hour or so of clear scent and effectively no trail, and the 236ml can is meant to be reapplied. Spring and summer, casual by nature, and better value than most of the category.
